There for parents when they need us most,
because childhood can't wait

Sweet Chilli Parenting — a little warmth, a little spice, and a lot of support

Parenting is one of the most rewarding things you’ll ever do, and one of the hardest. Sweet Chilli Parenting is a free programme of four workshops for parents and carers of children of any age, offering a non-judgmental, relaxed, and relatable space, with peer support built in, to gain practical insights and tools to support your parenting journey.

What to expect from the sessions

Sweet Chilli Parenting takes you on a four-session journey, exploring some of the most powerful ideas in modern parenting. All in a way that’s accessible, honest, and completely free from judgment. Each session builds on the last, giving you space to reflect, ask questions, and share experiences with other parents in the group.

Session 1 — Trauma-Informed Parenting & Building Solid Brain Architecture. We start by exploring what trauma is and how it can shape our children’s behaviour and development. You’ll also have the chance to reflect on how your own experiences might influence your parenting, and discover the difference that a therapeutic approach can make.

Session 2 — Attachment Theory. This session looks at how our earliest relationships shape the way we connect with others, including our own children. Understanding attachment can be a real lightbulb moment for parents, helping to make sense of behaviours and strengthen the bond with your child.

Session 3 — Parenting Styles. Ever wondered why you parent the way you do? This session explores the different approaches parents take, what influences them, and the impact they have on children and family life.

Session 4 — Therapeutic Parenting in Practice. The final session brings everything together. You’ll leave with a clear understanding of what therapeutic parenting looks like in real life, and practical tools you can start using with your family straight away.
