Family groups currently being delivered by Home-Start Central Lancashire
The groups currently offered are specific to a particular age and focus (see further info below) and offer a safe, welcoming environment where confidence and skills can be nurtured. Positive relationships develop between parents and volunteers, and this helps to identify a family’s individual needs. Some of these needs can be met within the group, others may require a referral to our home visiting service or signposting to other more appropriate services.
Family Groups
Home-Start family groups are a friendly group session which caters for families with children under 5 years old.
You can find us:
Thursdays from 9:45 am till 11:15 am at Moss Side Community Centre, Dunkirk Lane, PR26 7SN (see map)
We offer support and play sessions to our families. Volunteers and staff are on hand to give help and advice in a non-judgemental and sensitive way, or just there to listen and understand. Please check our social media channels for any changes to the sessions running.

Sweet Chilli Parenting
Sweet Chilli Parenting™ are workshops that have been designed by parents for parents. They have been developed to increase knowledge and understanding of how adverse childhood experiences and trauma experienced at any age can negatively impact our parenting, children, and family as a whole.
The workshops promote reflective learning and are an alternative way of empowering parents to take a more informed approach to parenting, encouraging healing and connection.
